Our Beginnings
For Aquatic Professionals, By Aquatic Professionals
The Association of Aquatic Professionals was born from a shared realization among several industry leaders that the aquatic field needed a unified voice—one shaped by the very people who manage the pools, guard the shores, and teach the lessons. In its early days, AOAP faced the challenge of bridging fragmented safety protocols and creating a singular platform for advocacy.
Driven by an unwavering mission to reduce drowning incidents, the founding members worked tirelessly to build a nonprofit that prioritizes education over profit. They established a legacy of collaboration, ensuring that every aquatic professional, regardless of their facility size, has access to world-class resources and a supportive community dedicated to saving lives.
