As a Member of the Association of Aquatic Professionals you will receive a discount on registration to the Annual Conference/Institute and Trade Show as well as on any educational or webinar opportunities that are offered.
The aquatics industry is constantly changing. Therefore, the importance of professional development is paramount to your agency and yourself. The Association of Aquatic Professionals offers professional development opportunities to fit your needs. Online Education & Webinars

AOAP Webinars provide the educational tools you need at every stage of your career, and without the expenses incurred by travel and lodging. View our full catalog of offerings here. 3 FREE $25 credits to be used towards Webinars either live or on-demand on Learn Upon and Roundtables (during some of the Monthly Membership Meetings) for New and Existing Members. (.1 CEUs for each one that you take or participate in towards AqP or other certifications). We’re excited to announce quarterly Roundtables and new webinars that are be offered for all new and existing members of AOAP. These webinars will qualify towards the AqP electives and, perhaps, other renewal certificates as they will include risk management, leadership and technology topics.
Life Jacket & Swim Lesson Grants
AOAP Members may apply for Life Jacket and Swim Lesson grants. $500 per agency is available for swim lesson grants and 25-50 life jackets to member agencies that apply and are chosen for these grants. We are proud to partner with The Lifeguard Store to provide AOAP Lifejackets for our grant program.

AOAP Conference and Exposition

AqP Designation
One of the main goals of the Association of Aquatic Professionals is to assist in the recognition of individuals in the aquatic field as professionals. Our first step is the development of the aquatic professionals designation. Become recognized in the Aquatic Profession as a Designated Aquatic Professional (AqP). Stand out among your peers and obtain this designation through a combination of education, experience and certifications. Information on obtaining this distinguished designation will be forthcoming. Do you want to be recognized as an Aquatic Professional within the aquatic industry? Then this designation is for you. Through a combination of education, experience and training you may be recognized as an AqP.

How does my membership support drowning prevention?
A direct portion of every membership fee is allocated to our Learn-to-Swim grants and life jacket distribution programs in underserved communities.
Can I upgrade my tier later?
Yes, you can upgrade your membership tier at any time to add additional group agency members for the remainder of your membership term. Contact the AOAP Office at info@aquaticpros.org for assistance.
Are memberships tax-deductible?
As a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation, a significant portion of your membership may be tax-deductible. Please consult with your tax advisor for specific details.
