Joining the Association of Aquatic Professionals (AOAP) is so much more than joining a professional organization. You are joining a community of dedicated aquatic professionals from around the world that make positive impacts in their communities related to water safety and recreation. Member-Only Resources

Did you know that you can find the full list of member-only resources on your AOAP Membership Portal? Just login and click “Member Only Resources” on the left-hand menu. Under that tab you will find a lot of awesome links including the “2024/2025 Commercial Member’s Buyer’s Guide”, Codes to partner discounts, previous survey results, articles and more! 

I highly recommend checking out our Member Forum where members can post questions to the entire AOAP membership community for feedback, idea generation and networking!

Live Webinars

Central to AOAP’s mission is improving aquatic education and one of the main ways we do that outside of conference is providing learning opportunities through online webinars. Our live webinars require pre-registration to participate, and members can attend free or for a discounted rate. Follow us on social media for the most up-to-date information regarding webinars. You can register for upcoming webinars in your membership portal. 

Discounted On Demand Learning

With a library of over 60 on-demand courses, AOAP members receive discounts on education focused on staff training and development, risk management, drowning prevention, leadership and executive development, and more. 

Life Jacket and Swim Lesson Grants

AOAPs Swim Lesson and Life Jacket Grants promote AOAP’s drowning prevention efforts and they are only open to AOAP members! These grants provide hundreds of lifejackets and thousands of dollars to support swim lesson programs each year. An annual goal of AOAP is to provide 100 free lessons to under-privileged participants and at least 500 life jackets to member agencies every year. 

Annual Conference Discounts and Scholarships

The International Aquatics and Water Safety Conference is an exciting opportunity to network and learn about trends in the Aquatics industry. As an AOAP member you automatically receive a discounted conference registration and also have the opportunity to apply for scholarships to lower those registration costs even more! 

Registration for this year’s conference at the Broadmoor in Colorado Springs is open! Scholarship applications are due September 15th. 

Exclusive Partner Discounts

AOAP has several partners that offer discount pricing to active AOAP members. This includes Swim Angelfish Training and Resources where members receive a 10% discount for individuals, 15% off HydroApps digital documentation software, exclusive discounts on CHAMP and Studies by Counsilman-Hunsaker, a free subscription to Rec Management magazine and more.
